Big Water Consulting

Over the last 12 years, Big Water Consulting has established itself as a key partner for Tribes in enhancing and promoting tribal data sovereignty. Their work focuses on collecting and analyzing data to advocate for change in programs that serve Tribes at the tribal, state, and national level. Big Water’s work has contributed to the funding of housing, economic development, community services, healthcare, and many other programs through research, data collection, and technical assistance.

Urban Institute

The Urban Institute is a nonprofit research organization that provides data and evidence to help advance upward mobility and equity. Urban is a trusted source for changemakers who seek to strengthen decisionmaking, create inclusive economic growth, and improve the well-being of families and communities. Urban’s work in Native communities stretches back to the first national study of Native American housing conducted for HUD in 1996 and includes years of subsequent experience working with tribal housing entities, tribal food distribution providers, and local, regional, and national tribal organizations.

National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC)

NAIHC promotes and supports American Indians, Alaska Natives, and native Hawaiians in their self-determined goal to provide culturally relevant and quality affordable housing for Native people. Their work includes advocating for housing opportunities and increased funding for Native American housing and community development programs; training and technical assistance for Native housing professionals; and research related to Native housing issues and programs. NAIHC has a long history of convening and collaborating with Native organizations across the country.
