Sharon Vogel
Sharon Vogel is the Executive Director of the Cheyenne River Housing Authority in Eagle Butte, SD on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation. CRHA is the tribally designated housing entity (TDHE) for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. She has worked for the last 20 years in housing management and development.
She serves as the Chair of the United Native American Housing Association (UNAHA), with 33 member tribally designated housing entities (TDHEs) from the states of North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado. She also serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the South Dakota Native Homeownership Coalition. In addition, she is serving her first term on the Board of Directors of the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) and continues to serve as the Region 3 Board Member of the National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC).
Sharon is an advocate for Indian housing issues on the state, regional, and national level. Under her leadership, CRHA has successfully leveraged (2017-2023) over $18 million for the construction of 111 new rental units.
